The students of Kinnaird College for Women strongly protested over sacking of seven faculty members by blocking road outside the college on Monday. The faculty members including four senior teachers were sacked on 23 December by the principal. A large number of students staged a protest demonstration when the college reopened on Monday.
The students were also joined by some teachers. They protested inside the college in the morning but later came out and blocked the main road outside college which caused great traffic mess. However some senior teachers compelled the students to go back to college. The students were demanding reinstatement of teachers and removal of KC Principal Professor Bernadette.
