ADP schemes: Sindh government to hold mid-year review meeting from January 13
The Sindh government would hold the mid-year review meeting of development schemes of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2009-10 to be held from January 13, 2010 to improve performance of various government departments, it is learnt.
Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Munawar Opel would preside over the meeting in the committee room, which would also be attended by all the secretaries of administrative department, officials told Business Recorder on Tuesday.
The secretaries of provincial departments have also been instructed to furnish the monthly progress report of December 2009 of their respective departments and submit it to the Monitoring and Evaluation Cell (MEC) by January 10, 2010, as the status of unapproved schemes would also be discussed in the review meeting, they added. According to the schedule, the meeting would review the performance of different departments including works and services, normal roads, buildings, services, general administration and co-ordination department (SGA&CD), judicial, police, jails, finance, excise and taxation, chief minister's secretariat, Sindh Assembly, provincial ombudsman, board of revenue (BoR) and local government and katchi abadis on January 13.
The performance of department including public health engineering, education, culture and tourism, auqaf, sports and youth affairs, labour, antiquities, information and archives on January 15.
Health department, social welfare, women development, population welfare, irrigation and power, mines and mineral development, energy and industries departments on January 16, while agriculture, food, forest, wildlife and coastal development authority on January 18. The meeting would review the development works of science and information technology, environment, transport, statistical economic research and poverty alleviation on January 19.
