SSP Investigation Lahore, Zulifqar Hameed has awarded punishments of different nature to seven police officers and officials of Investigation Wing on the charges of corruption, defective investigation, poor performance and misconduct.
The police officers who were awarded punishments included: Sub-Inspector Muhammad Iqbal and Assistant Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ibrahim awarding punishment of Dismissal from service; Sub-Inspector Muhammad Arif and Assistant Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir awarded punishment of forfeiture of two years approved service; Sub-Inspector Allah Rakha awarded punishment of Censure, Sub-Inspector Haseeb Anjum awarded punishment of warning; Constable Muhammad Amin awarded punishment of Compulsorily retired from service, whereas the Show Cause Notice Sub-Inspector Muhammad Yaqoob has been filed.
