After the Wednesday's reported suicide attack in Palandri district and recent similar incidents of subversion in the capital city Muzaffarabad of AJK, the security has been put on high alert across AJK to strongly deal with any eventuality, official sources said.
Four security personal had embraced shahadat and 11 others had sustained injuries as a result of the blast in Tararkheil town of Sudhanoti (Palandri) district of AJK at the wee hours of Wednesday. Strict measures have been adopted to thwart any attempt of subversion and terrorism in AJK although complete peace and overall law and order situation existed in entire Azad Jammu Kashmir including Mirpur district, the sources told APP here on Thursday.
Security was strengthened across Azad Jammu and Kashmir after the AJ&K government deputed additional security staff at the sensitive installations and other vulnerable points besides at the places of worships in order to maintain law and order situation and to avert the threat of any further untoward incident in the area.
The sources continued that the police force has been served with special directives to ensure foolproof security arrangements at Imambargahs and other places of worships so that the people could perform their religious obligations without any fear.
The sources said that the authorities have increased police patrolling for security at all prominent places including the sensitive installations in all nine AJK district headquarters as well as the tehsil headquarters besides all other small and major towns and villages across the liberated territory. The administration has also deputed security personnel in plain clothes to keep a vigilant eye on unscrupulous and suspicious elements.
