The Karachi Port handled 115,260 tonnes of liquid import cargo including 61,545 tonnes of import 53,715 tonnes of export cargo and 4,874 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday.
The total import cargo of 61,545 tonnes comprised of 35,244 tonnes of dry cargo including 27,303 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7,138 tonnes of bulk cargo; 803 tonnes of general cargo and 26,301 tonnes of liquid cargo. The total export cargo of 53,715 tonnes comprised of 46,815 tonnes of dry cargo including 35,931 tonnes of containerised cargo; 10,819 tonnes of bulk cargo; 65 tonnes of general cargo and 6,900 tonnes of liquid cargo.
Eight ships namely Al-Soor-II, Hanjin Duesseldorf, You Mei, MT Johar, Lucky Arrow, Wan Hai-501, Hyundai Baron and Cap Gabriel sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Queen Arrow-II, Blossom, Zhonji No 1, MSC Aurelie and TS Dubai are currently at the berths. Eight ships namely Blossom, Rising Phoenix, Dai San, MSC Aurelie, Asdrubal, Queen Arrow-II, Zhonji No 1 and Barwaaoo expected to sail on Friday, while two vessels viz TS Dubai and Providence expected to sail on Saturday.
Four vessels viz BW Columbia, Bhairavi, YM America and LTC Calvin P. Titus due to arrive on Friday, while eight ships namely Vinashin Melody, OEL Trust, APL Sokhna, Uni Promote, Seaways Valour, Kota Akbar, Liberty Pride and Fu Yuan Shan are due to arrive on Saturday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 41,953 tonnes of cargo including 34,893 tonnes of import 7,060 tonnes of export cargo and 893 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 34,893 tonnes includes 29,478 tonnes of diesel oil and 5,415 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 7,060 tonnes including 345 tonnes of rice; 331 tonnes of cement and 6,384 tonnes of containerised cargo. Four ships namely MT Al-Badiyah, MV Carmen Silva, CV Katharinas and CV Al-Noof sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another ship namely MT BW Columbia is expected to sail on Friday.
Five vessels viz CV Al-Noof, CV Katharinas, MV Zenobia, MV Leopard-B and MT BW Columbia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. A total number of five ships namely MSC Sarawak, Maersk Novazzano, Bhai Ravi, Iron Monger-5 and Tan Binh-36 carrying containers, chemicals, crude oil and rice respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, CV MSC Sarawak, MT Iron Monger-5 and MT Bhai Ravi carrying containers, crude oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal and respectively on Friday.
Two ships namely MV Heng Chang and MT Chenroute Sun carrying iron ore and chemicals due to arrive on Friday, while another two vessels viz MV Orient and MT Al-Derah scheduled to load/offload cement and diesel oil are due to arrive on Saturday. Two ships namely CV Donau Trader and MT Sichem Melbourne are due to arrive on Sunday.
