LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of labourers due to mud-sliding in Sargodha.
He expressed heartfelt sympathies and condolences with the bereaved families.
As soon as he heard about the incident, the chief minister issued directions to the administration to accelerate the relief activities to rescue the labourers safely under the debris and utilize all out resources in this regard.
The CM said that officers of the concerned departments should personally monitor the rescue operation to rescue the labourers safely. The chief minister directed the Provincial Minister, Secretary and DG of Mines Department to reach the spot and review relief activities to evacuate the labourers from the debris.
He has ordered to investigate the incident and sought report from the administration as well.
