First Brain Angiography machine in Public sector has been procured for Lahore General Hospital (LGH) at a cost of Rs 90.5 million for which Chief Minister Punjab Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif had provided special grant. This machine would be installed in the hospital within a month.
It was disclosed by the Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute, Lahore General Hospital Professor Dr Israr Ahmad, here on Sunday. He told that Brain Angiography machine will be installed in Neuro Radiology Department and the treatment of Brain, Spinal Cord and Blood Vassals would be possible without surgery, which would also reduce the risk factor of paralysis.
Professor Israr further said that this would be the first facility of its kind in public sector's hospitals. He said that Chief Minister Punjab has paid a special attention for up-gradation of LGH for making the hospital a center of excellence.
