Rapeseed cakes rose by Rs 20 to Rs 750, while the better type was quoted at Rs 760. On Wednesday most of the buyers were on the sideline due to lack of buying interest. Barley Sindh and Mardan fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2400, wheat old and new (Bardana) was lower at Rs 2665-2675. Cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type was down at Rs 1080, while the best type did not show any change at Rs 1100.
Rice and grams sectors maintained the overnight levels.
On Thursday wheat old and new with Bardana rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2670, while the other type was quoted at Rs 2685, gur inferior type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 5600, while the other stayed type put at Rs 6200. Grams 50x50 lost Rs 50 to Rs 3800, while the better type was seen at Rs 4000, cottonseed oilcake low type rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1092, while the other type was marked at Rs 1100.
On Jodia Bazaar milk powder (per 25 kg) vegetable Corolac rose by Rs 200 to Rs 8,700 Haleeb Veg rose by Rs 400 to Rs 6700 and Melco Veg ended higher by Rs 350 and Rs 7200.
On Friday and no transaction was reported as almost all the market players were engaged in preparations for Juma prayers.
ON Jodia Bazaar jute goods twine moved up. The changes were: JUTE GOODS TWINE (Per kg): 20x3 Brown closed higher by Rs 15 to Rs 100, 163x3 CRT/Indus went up by Rs 15 to Rs 100, 8x3 moved upward by Rs 17 to Rs 135 and 40x2 Brown edged higher by Rs 16 to Rs 95.
On Saturday wheat old low type was up by Rs 10 to Rs 2680 and best type was higher Rs 20 to Rs 2700. New wheat Bardana followed the same trend, low type rose by Rs 10 to Rs 2695 and good quality picked up Rs 20 to Rs 2715. Gram 50x50 gained Rs 50 to Rs 3850-4050 and gram dal 50x50 also gained Rs 100 to Rs 4600-4800.
On Jodia Bazar Kirana items moved both ways. The changes were: KIRANA ITEMS (Per 40 kg): Black pepper Singapore edged down by Rs 600 to Rs 10,200, black pepper Ceylon went lower by Rs 500 to Rs 10,200, mace moved downward by Rs 1000 to Rs 4,4000, nutmeg went closed higher by Rs 2000 to Rs 19000, small cardamom was quoted at Rs 96000, big cardamom finished was quoted at Rs 36,000, cloves went up by Rs 1000 to Rs 21,000, copra Ceylon ended higher by Rs 800 to Rs 4,600, dry ginger (China) closed upward by Rs 300 to Rs 7,500, saunf moved higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4,600, Isbaghol Bhoosi edged upward by Rs 1500 to Rs 21,000, darchini finished higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4,400 and Haldi was quoted at Rs 4,200.
