The New Zealand dollar gained on Monday as the US currency fell on a surprisingly weak US employment report. Kiwi around $0.7394/97, compared with $0.7308/13 in late trade on Friday. It hit a seven-week high of $0.7433 last week. US dollar lower broadly after the unexpected drop in US nonfarm payrolls dented expectations of an early rise in interest rates.
Kiwi weaker against the Aussie and the euro, while firm against the yen. The trade-weighted index is up 0.4 percent. Support for the kiwi seen around $0.7310 with sellers seen at $0.7420.
