Due to lowest gas pressure, the housewives are confronting with multiple problems in different areas here. The normal life had crippled the daily chore of common man, while domestic consumers were suffering adversely due to the loadshedding and low pressure of Sui gas had multiplied the miseries during severe cold weather in Sialkot.
The general public was of the opinion that government has failed to resolve the problems of the masses. The housewives were confronting with multiple problems due to lowest pressure of gas because they were unable to prepare food for the family members, especially for schoolgoing children.
They said provision of basic facilities like water, Sui gas and electricity was the responsibility of the government, but it was unfortunate that the government was ignoring these core issues. They said that the government was hoodwinking the general public through its hollow slogans. They alleged that loadshedding and low pressure of gas was being carried out intentionally by the concerned authorities.
The authorities, they said, had only concentrated on fleecing and cheating the consumers by increasing the tariffs of electricity and gas, while the services they were rendering were very poor. In various area of Sialkot, the dwellers of displayed huge banners, condemning lowest gas pressure and electricity loadshedding.
Meanwhile, a protest rally, led by member of the Punjab Assembly Imran Ashraf, was taken out in the industrial estate area on Tuesday. The protesters carried the banners inscribed with the slogans, "Bijli Gas Do Bill Lo" (provide electricity, gas and take bill).
A protest march also arranged to the Wapda office. Later, the protesters, after passing through the industrial estate, dispersed peacefully. Sialkot, which is a hub of cottage industry and domestic consumers, was facing serious hardships due to low pressure of natural gas and loadshedding.
