Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry inaugurated three-day special medical camp at Lions Club Badian jointly organised by the Hijaz Hospital and Gulberg Lions Club. He urged people to come forward and serve the ailing people. President Gulberg Lions Club Khushnood Ali Sheikh, Shahzada Abdul Rauf, Abdul Waheed Qureshi, Sheikh Ata-ur-Rehman, Professor Amjad and MS Hijaz Hospital Dr Anwar Ahmad Bagwi also spoke on the occasion.
Chaudhry said the LCCI always extended its support to the government for catastrophe-hit brothers and sisters, he said. He told the participants that Lahore Businessmen Association for Rehabilitation of Disabled (LABARD) was working for the rehabilitation of disables under the umbrella of LCCI. The LABARD was providing training, education to the disabled persons free of cost.
Chairman Hijaz Hospital Mian Abdul Waheed said that the camp would provide the facilities of general physician, eye-specialist, gynecologist, ECG, and ultrasound to the poor people. More than 600 people would be treated in the camp while more than 100 people would be provided free laboratory test, ultrasound and free medicines, he said.
