Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Secretary General Jahangir Badar has said that PPP reserves the domestic right to field its candidates for upcoming by elections in Punjab and NWFP.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that PPP had asked interested candidates to file applications for tickets on vacant seats; but final decision about fielding PPP candidates would be made by PPP Co-Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari.
To a question, he said that party had faced conspiracies since its inception and would never bow in front of any dictator. He said that every dictator offered PPP part in power but it never compromised. He said that President Zardari was going to visit Punjab from Thursday and during his visit he would inaugurate different development projects and address public rallies.
He said that PPP had respect for state institutions and it had made clear in its CEC meeting that PPP did not want confrontation with any institution. He said that NRO hit PPP members would face courts and courts were not new for members and leadership. He said that the people in Punjab were also facing the problems like poverty, unemployment, price hike and electricity and gas loadshedding. He said that PPP government with the support of its allies would leave no stone upturned to address issues faced by the people.
