Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) in collaboration with IOC Olympic Solidarity and Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) is organising a coaching course at Punjab University Ground Weightlifting Centre from January 18 to February 16, 2010. Qaiser Iftikhar, a diploma holder in weightlifting coaching from Simmelweise University Budapest, Hungary, will be the course director.
Professor M. Azhar and Professor Khizer Hayat will also deliver lectures. The participants of the course are: Anjum Rohail Butt, Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Rizwan, Abdul Ghaffar, Muhammad Idrees Butt, Awais Akbar, Muhammad Asghar, Anjum Asif, Kashif Barkat, Abdul Jabar Adnan, Mushtaq Ahmad, Aqeel Javed Butt, Muhammad Shafeeq, Rashid Mahmood, Kashif Hanif Butt, Abdul Sattar Rahi, Kh. Haseen Ahmed, Adeeb Akram, Nadeem Rafiq, Muhammad Zeeshan, Abdul Ghafoor, Ali Imran, Abdul Khaliq, Javed Iqbal, Amjad Amin, Muhammad Ashfaq and M. Ilyas Butt. This is the 2nd time coaching courses are being organised for the development of national sports in weightlifting. The first course of this kind was organised in Karachi in November 2009.
