The construction of new grain market will start in February at a cost of Rs 140 million. District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi said this while talking to newsmen here on Thursday. "The new market will have modern facilities and it will be a model marketplace in Punjab", he said.
However, the official said although land for this market was acquired five years ago but the work could not be started. He assured that the project would be initiated in February, adding that its construction would be completed by December this year.
