A delegation of trade bodies, led by President of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Muhammad Ishaq Butt, will call on President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday (January 15) at the Governor House in Lahore. According a press release, issued here on Thursday. The delegation will apprise President Zardari about the deteriorated condition of electricity in this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry.
Due to the loadshedding, productivity is at its lowest ebb and the exporters' community was confronting with multiple problems because they were unable to deliver foreign consignments well in time. It may be added that Sialkot, through its exports is earning one billion dollars annually and strengthening the national exchequer, besides providing employment opportunities to the hundreds of people.
