Chicago Board of Trade grains and soya complex late pre-opening calls at 9:20 a.m. CST (1520 GMT) on Friday. Wheat down 3 to 5 cents per bushel. Slow exports of US wheat, a firm dollar and abundant global stockpile of wheat combining to weigh on wheat futures. CBOT March wheat last down 4-1/4 cents in Globex trade at $5.23-1/2 per bushel.
Volume 3,920. KCBT March last down 4 at $5.23. Volume 504. MGEX March last down 3-1/4 at $5.41-1/4. Volume 142. Saudi Arabia seeking 500,000 tonnes of wheat, said official. Corn down 3 to 5 cents per bushel. Corn futures remain under pressure from the release early this week of bearish production and stocks data from the USDA. March corn last down 2-1/4 cents in Globex trade at $3.78-3/4 per bushel.
Volume 8,316. South Korea buys nine cargoes US corn, totaling between 495,000 and 540,000 tonnes if shipped in Panamax vessels, said traders. Exporters sell 116,000 tonnes US corn to unknown destinations for 2009/10 delivery, said USDA. Soyabeans steady to down 3 cents per bushel. March last up 3/4 cent at $9.84-3/4 per bushel in Globex trade. Volume 5,805. Favourable weather conditions continue in South American soy areas with plentiful moisture and no heat stress.
