Pakistan post has issued a commemorative postage stamp on 7th NFC Award, as a tribute to the spirit of national unity that led to reach on consensus agreement on the NFC Award after 19 years. Special Commemorative Stamp was designed by Adil Salahuddin.
The consensus of the NFC Award is a monumental historic decision, which was agreed and finalised in Lahore on 12-12-2009 and inked by the Members of Commission in Gawadar on December 30,2009. The Provincial Governments agreed upon the new national formula on reaching a financial consensus for the first time in 19 years. The Award distributing formula will help in the unity of the federating units besides ensuring enhanced allocations from the federal divisible pool.
Pakistan Post has also released a special Commemorative Postage Stamp of Rs 8 denomination on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-Balochistan package on January 11, 2010. Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan Package has been tabled by the government in a Joint Session of Parliament on 24-11-2009, which will pave the way for resolving socio, economical and political problems of Balochistan. It will also open a new era of development.
To support the initiative taken by the government to remove the grievances of the Balochistan, Pakistan Post is also playing its part by issuing a special Commemorative Postage Stamp on 11-01-2010 on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Balochistan, which will be available for sale at all important post officers in the country.
