The Karachi Port handled 81,113 tonnes of liquid import cargo including 49,783 tonnes of import 31,330 tonnes of export cargo and 2,733 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 49,783 tonnes comprised of 17,300 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,011 tonnes of bulk cargo; 23,084 tonnes of coal; 1,388 tonnes of MAP and 6,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 31,330 tonnes comprised of 15,628 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,578 tonnes of bulk cargo; 10,010 tonnes of cement; 2,800 tonnes of clinker and 1,314 tonnes of talc powder. Five ships namely Tom Ship-2, Hyundai Emperor, Wan Hai-507, Silver Craft and Sagittarius Leader sailed out to sea during the reported period. Eight vessels viz BSLE Princess, Calmy Coral, Sagittarius Leader, Al-Marwah, Kota Hakim, Tiran, YM Asia and Steela are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Al-Marwah, Century Ace and Samin-1 expected to sail on Saturday, while three vessels viz Glory Tellus, Quetta and Union Anna are expected to sail on Sunday. Six vessels viz Quetta, OEL Shreyas, Ninos, Tan Binh-36, Power Ranger and Fade-1 due to arrive on Saturday, while seven ships namely MT Swat, Voge Dignity, Bunga Raya Satu, Anke, Cos Fair, Mustafa H and Wehr Nienstedten are due to arrive on Sunday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 79,206 tonnes of cargo includes 63,751 tonnes of import 15,455 tonnes of export cargo and 2,090 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Saturday.
The total import cargo of 63,751 tonnes includes 37,620 tonnes of furnace oil; 2,627 tonnes of LPG; 8,054 tonnes of iron ore and 15,450 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 15,455 tonnes includes 1,082 tonnes of rice; 1,653 tonnes of cement and 12,720 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Bulk cargo carrier Paula-1 sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while two ships: Container vessel Maersk Novazzano and LPG carrier Maersk Honour are expected to sail on Saturday. Six vessels viz CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Zenobia, MV Leopard-B, MT Maersk Honour, MT Fair Sprit and MV Mara are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, LPG, furnace oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
A total number of three ships namely MSC Sarawak, ST Kitts and Gaschem Nordees carrying containers and LPG respectively are currently at the outer anchorage. Three vessels viz CV MSC Sarawak, MT ST Kitts and MT Gaschem Nordees carrying containers and LPG are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Progas Terminal respectively on Saturday. Oil tanker MT Al-Soor-II due to arrive on Saturday, while a container vessel viz CV HS Beethven is due to arrive on Sunday.
