Chairman of All Pakistan Bedsheet & Upholstry Manufacturers Association (APBUMA), M. Anees Khawaja has strongly reacted on the decision of SNGPL to suspend the gas supply to the industrial units of Southern Punjab for a month and alleged that SNGPL was treating step-motherly with the people of Southern Punjab resultantly thousands of workers have so far been rendered jobless.
In a Press Statement issued here on Sunday Anees said that gas supply would remain suspend for only ten days for Faisalabad ,15 day for Lahore but 30 days for Multan, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions. He said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani should take action on the discriminatory attitude of the SNGPL. Anees khawaja said our textile exports had dwindled down to 9.190 million dollars during the last six month, while it was 9.474 billion dollars last year. He said that imbalanced and ill conceived of different departments like Pepco, SNGPL, SSGC had destroyed the entire system of manufacturing exportable.
