A state of the art 'CRS X-Ray' machine has been installed at the Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) for quick diagnosing of patients suffering from bone, chest and lung diseases, here on Tuesday. The AGFA company donated machine was installed at the X-ray Department of HMC. Chief Executive HMC Dr Aftab Akbar Durrani formally inaugurated the machine during a ceremony at the complex.
The total cost of the CRS X-ray machine is Rs 3.8 million that would provide results to the patients, within 5 minutes. The facility would be used to diagnose patients suffering from fatal bone, lungs, head and chest diseases etc. The AGFA has also donated a high-powered UPS system to help run it in an event of load shedding.
Meanwhile, a well-equipped centre has also been inaugurated at HMC for the treatment of patients suffering from blood disorders and blood cancer diseases. Dr Fazal Razzik told APP that 6 children, who were suffering from blood disorder and thalassemia, have been admitted the complex and free of cost blood is being donated to them to save their lives.
