NWFP Senior Minister and Parliamentary leader of ANP Bashir Ahmad Bilour has said that the valiant party workers as well as the citizens of Peshawar will participate in the joint anniversary of Baba-e-Amn Bacha Khan and Rehbr-e-Tehrik Abdul Wali Khan at Nishtar Hall Peshawar to pay tributes to this visionary leadership of Pukhtoons.
He was addressing a public meeting of the party workers and city elite of his constituency PF-3 at Kohati Gate Peshawar wherein the preparations and arrangements for the joint anniversary were thorough discussed and necessary decisions taken. Vice President City District Peshawar Ghulam Hassan Khan, Deputy General Secretary Anwarul Haq and Nazim UC Wazirbagh Malik Noor Rehman also addressed the public meeting and highlighted the arrangements for the anniversary.
Bashir Bilour asked the party workers to meet the people at their door steps and apprise them of the philosophy of politics and serving the masses as envisaged by the great Khudai Khidmatgar leader Bacha Khan and Abdul Wali Khan and hence persuade them to participate in their joint anniversary with vigour.
He said that these great Pukhtoon leaders had already alarmed the past regime and the nation against the international intrigues being hatched against pukhtoons in the wake of Afghan war and hence termed it "fasaad" and not "jihad" the proof of which was then realised after so many decades but he said the delay caused present state of terrorism and unrest in the entire region.
The Senior Minister said that the ANP was again empowered in the province with active support of the masses which in fact was not ruling but waging jihad against the terrorism. He assured that the region would soon become cradle of peace and fraternity due to realistic democratic steps of ANP government while all the problems faced by the poor masses including load shedding of gas, electricity, unemployment and poverty.
He said that intelligence network was being further strengthened for checking terrorism and restoring peace in the province. Similarly he said that the load shedding of electricity and gas were in fact the legacy of previous dictator government for the masses but the present government would solve both these problems for good by next year. He said effective steps were being taken for checking the unemployment and price hike in the province to minimise miseries of the people.
Bashir Bilour however, regretted that the province was faced with enormous financial problems while even developmental funds were being spent for security purpose. The speakers appreciated efforts of the party leadership for bringing about peace in the province and assured all support and co-operation in this regard as well as making anniversary function a success.
