National Bank of Pakistan has inaugurated an exclusive 'help/assistance desk' for handling home remittances-related queries and complaints. The help desk has a toll free No: 0800-62798 and is backed by a dedicated support team, supervised by senior executives to resolve complaints. National Bank is supporting the government strategy for increasing home remittances under the Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI).
In this context, a fully empowered Global Home Remittances Management Group has been set up under the command of Khalid Bin Shaheen, a seasoned banker with extensive knowledge of the dynamics of home remittance business, as the SEVP-Group Chief to pursue the national cause with full force.
Help desk is an important step towards achieving the ultimate object of increasing home remittances to Pakistan by facilitating customers and creating a satisfied recipient community/client base, while providing them trouble free, quick and reliable service. NBP is now fully geared up and in a position to handle 10 times more volume of home remittance transactions after PRI. Overseas Pakistanis have been asked to use formal channels for sending home remittances.-PR
