The most interesting event on the second day of Young Leaders and Entrepreneurial Summit (YLES) 2010 was Play-IT Technical Workshop, which evaluates the marketing capabilities of the young entrepreneurs by asking them to build advertising campaign on the given products.
The summit is organised by Lums Entrepreneurial Society (LES). The purpose of the workshop is to help students on technical and non-technical aspects of the advertising making. There were two rounds in the Play -IT workshop. In the first round teams made TV advertisements of not more than one minute on the product, which was assigned them on the first day of the summit. According to the criteria of the workshops ads made by the students are original, creative and should involve some good camera work and editing and they were judged by the same criteria.
The final round of the workshop was consisted of making Radio jingles on the same product. The jingles presented were in relevance with the TV ad made in the first round. The jingles were consists of catchy statements and background music. In the final round teams were judged on the whole packages of their TV and radio ad.
