DCO Saeed Wahlah has directed to launch a comprehensive recovery campaign for collecting the government dues and in this regard special teams of revenue department should be constituted for taking actions against the chronic defaulters of government arrears in different heads.
He was presiding over a meeting to review the performance of district revenue department regarding the recovery of government dues. He directed to gear up the recovery campaign and suitable legal actions should be taken against the big and old defaulters without any discrimination.
He stressed the regular and stern monitoring of the recovery campaign and said that the performance of the revenue officers should be evaluated on weekly basis and action should be taken against the officers showing poor performance in this regard.
He said that in case of any hindrance or problems in the way of recovering of government dues, it should be brought to his notice immediately, the concerned officers would be provided administrative and legal support in this regard. During the meeting the recovery and pending dues in different heads were reviewed and revenue officers had been asked to perform their duties with full attention and dedication.
The DCO further directed that the revenue cases pending before the revenue offices should be disposed of without delay and aggrieved persons should be provided relief under the relevant law and rules. He directed that the revenue record should properly be maintained and the matters of mutations, farad jamabandi and other concerned record should be updated in all respects.
DO Revenue Syed Mubashir Hussain briefed the meeting that the arrears of Rs 11 million had been recovered from the defaulters in the tehsil sadar and efforts were being made to improve the recovery of government dues in the district. The meeting was also attended by EDO Revenue Ziaul Haq, DOC Liaqat Ali Chatha, DDOR City Muhammad Asif and others concerned officers.
