Anne W. Patterson, United States Ambassador to Pakistan while commending the efforts of the Managing Director of Kashf Foundation Ms Roshaneh Zafar's in the field of social entrepreneurship in Pakistan, has cordially invited her to attend the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship to be held in Washington DC on 26th and 27th of April 2010.
Ms Zafar is one of the five persons selected to represent Pakistan at the Summit in order to contribute to the deliberations and to provide a strong and positive image of Pakistan in the USA.
Kashf Foundation has been recognised internationally for the many contributions it has made to the improving the role of women in society and for pioneering micro finance programmes in the country. The purpose of the Presidential Summit is to identify ways to deepen ties between business leaders, foundations and social entrepreneurs in the United States and Muslim communities around the world.
The summit aims to establish a platform for attendees and others to build partnerships that will create economic opportunity and changes live around the world. President Obama and other high ranking US government officials will participate at the summit along with entrepreneurs and stakeholders from around the world who are working for social entrepreneurship in Muslim communities.-PR
