Two days international seminar on Advances in Cement Base Materials, arranged by the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) School of Civil and Environmental Engineering in collaboration with Technical University Freiberg (TUF), Germany.
While addressing the inaugural session of the seminar, K. B. Rind said that Nust is the highest ranked University of Pakistan and has highly qualified faculty with state-of-the-art labs and equipment. He further stated that the seminar would provide an opportunity for dissemination of the technical expertise to the professionals and appreciated their gesture of delegation from Germany for visiting and exchanging their views on the topic of mutual interests.
On the 2nd day of the seminar four papers were presented by German and Pakistani engineers. Major General Imtiaz, Director General, National Logistic Cell (NLC), was the chief guest in the closing session. He said that seminar would help the engineers in Pakistan to better understand the use of appropriate materials and methodologies in the execution of construction work and appreciated the efforts of Rector Nust, Engineer Muhammad Asghar for arranging the seminar and dissemination of knowledge and opening of opportunity for Pakistani engineers.
He said that Nust and TUF have entered into a new round of co-operation and technical exchange by signing an important MoU. The seminar was attended by large number of participants from comity of engineers, faculty and students, representatives of private and public organisations.-PR
