Gilani to lay foundation stone of new blocks in Bahauddin Zakariya University
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will lay the foundation stone of two new blocks and extension of three others costing Rs 515.537 million at Bahauddin Zakariya University on January 23 (Saturday). According to sources, Rs 515.055 million will be spent on the construction of a veterinary sciences block and an agriculture engineering block will be completed at a cost of Rs 86.733 million.
Besides, computer engineering, telecommunication and architectural blocks will be extended. All projects will be completed within five years. The projects are being built in line with the prime minister's development package for South Punjab. Two buses, a van, two animal ambulances, two 1000cc cars and a tractor-trolley will also be provided to the varsity under the package. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will also inaugurate the newly constructed Saraiki department and Multan College of Arts the same day.
