Arabica coffee fell on chart-based weakness and pressure from the lower commodity complex, following US President Barack Obama's bank announcement Thursday, said brokers.
March raw sugar contract down 0.36 cent at 28.90 cents per lb at 11:06 am. Trading range from 28.47 to 29.09 cents. Sugar reeled from investor sales sparked by worries over the US plan to put curbs on banks. Losses limited by market's bullish outlook, said dealers. Benchmark March cocoa contract fell $46 to $3,385 per tonne at 11:07 am. Trading range from $3,356 to $3,443. US cocoa futures fell along with other commodities and on pressure from the weak pound, said traders.
