The Institute of Women Development Studies (IWDS) University of Sindh organised an awareness seminar on breast cancer at the auditorium of IWDS. A large number of teachers and women from the community attended the event. Expert doctors from Nuclear Institute of Medical Radiotherapy (Nimra) Dr Aisha Siddiqui, Dr Anwar Baloch and Dr Roshan Ara Kazi, on this occasion, highlighted health problems including breast cancer in women and also causes of different diseases.
They also advised some preventive measures from the disease and said that the women should take care and take preventive measures from the different diseases. Experts said that government and other social welfare organisations have been holding awareness seminars to create awareness among the women, especially of the rural areas.
They appreciated the IWDS effort for holding such important seminars. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Ms Akhtar Jabeen Siddiqui, Director IWDS Dr Marhab Qasmi, faculty members Aftab Rajar, Ms Najma Gopnag, Ameer Ali Buriro and others also expressed their views.
