Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and the Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday in an hour-long meeting at the residence of the Prime Minister agreed to continue the policy of reconciliation in the best interest of the nation. These leaders on the aspect of reconciliation strengthened the policy of both political partners, when rumours were there in the country of a probable drift in their approach.
The leaders in the meeting, which was held after a more than a week's stay of Punjab Chief Minister outside the country, discussed overall situation in Pakistan. Gilani who has already talked of implementing the judicial orders in the country in letter and in spirit averred that had the highest respect for judiciary and the good governance. He said this was highly necessary under the prevailing scenario in the country.
Prime Minister on the occasion vowed that measures would be taken to provide respite to the people by providing them facilities and necessities of life. Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif while meeting the Prime Minister stated that recent judicial ruling should not be locked upon with political viewpoint. He said that law should be equivalent to all. The Chief Minister further dilating on the subject said the supremacy of law and its implementation was the hallmark of the cultural society.
