The Institute of Business Administration Punjab University Director Professor Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik has urged upon the students community to work hard for acquiring knowledge in order to achieve intellectual and academic excellence and to successfully face the challenges of life. He was speaking as chief guest at a graduation ceremony of BBA and welcome party of BBA and MBA 2009 held here on Saturday.
Dr Ehsan Malik said the purpose of education is not only to impart knowledge to the students but also to groom them into good human beings and responsible citizens. "Pakistan was passing through a critical juncture at present and the need for unity and brotherhood was never great as it is today," he added. He said due to generous provision of funds by the University Vice Chancellor and voluntary donations from philanthropists and public-spirited persons, he was able to transform the IBA into a center of excellence.
He said the Institute was proud of its students who had shown remarkable results and had been offered job opportunities in national and multinational companies as well as business and finance institutions on preferential basis. Earlier, the Director gave away trophies, souvenirs and commendatory certificates to the students who had given extra-ordinary performance in both academic and extra-curricular activities.
