Chairman Hamza Foundation Welfare Hospital, a welfare organisation, Ijaz Ali Khan has said that over 583 patients suffering from various blood related diseases have been registered in the organisation since December 2009. He said that majority of the registered patients were suffering from Thalasaemia who need blood transfusion after 15-20 days for their survival.
He expressed these views while briefing media men here on Monday. Ijaz Ali Khan said that Hamza Foundation with the financial support of philanthropists was providing free blood bags and medicines to the deserving Thalasaemia affected patients.
He said that every month 10-12 Thalasaemia and haemophilia affected patients were registered every month in Hamza foundation due to lack of facilities for these patients in the public sector hospitals of the Province. Chairman Hamza Foundation said that round the clock services were provided to patients adding that more than 5301 blood bags were provided to the deserving patients during the last three years.
