Skardu to have passport office in a week

Deputy Commissioner Skardu Muhammad Ali Yogovi has said that passport office will start functioning within a week. Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday he said the office had been established on special directives of Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Syed Mehdi Shah.
He said, in past, people used to face lot of problems in getting passports, especially during Haj and Umrah, as they had to visit Gilgit passport office and wasted their time. People of the area have hailed the step taken by the Chief Minister in this regard.
