The Motorway Police at N-5 South Zone foiled bid to kidnap the son of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). SPOs Ashraf Jan and Munawar Ali of Motorway Police South Zone were on patrol at National Highway in tehsil Gambat, District Khairpur, when they signalled a white colour Suzuki Hi-roof vehicle, which was wrongly overtaking.
However, the Suzuki driver pressed the accelerator to speed off. Sensing something dubious, the two officials informed the other mobile car about the said hi-roof and they also started chasing the vehicle. At some distance, they spotted a boy crying and inquired from him about what was wrong with him.
The 11-year old boy, who was identified as Adnan Narejo said he was kidnapped by three persons from Lareb Public School, Gambat. He said on seeing the Motorway police officials, the kidnapper abandoned him and ran away. The boy further informed that his father Razaq Dino was a DSP.
The Motorway officials immediately informed DSP Razaq Dino, who reached the spot with SHO Gambat. The DSP thanked the two officials and said because of them, his son was saved from abduction. DIG Motorway Aftab Pathan also, appreciated the performance of motorway officials and announced cash reward and commendation certificate.
