Three LDA officials: LHC dismisses pre-arrest bail

The Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice here Monday dismissed pre-arrest interim bail of three Lahore Development Authority officials involved in illegal construction of commercial building cases. The accused included Director Town Planning Hafiz Moeen-ud-Din, Town Planning Officer Jamal Shaukat Khawaja and Shahid Nazir, Building Inspector.
On the directions of Supreme Court the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) had registered cases against the applicants. According to the prosecution, in the territory jurisdiction of the accused officers 300 commercial plazas were found illegal out of a total of 450.
