Accountability Court has adjourned the hearing of the NAB references against Interior Minister Rehman Malik, saying that all the records of the references is in Lahore High Court, so the hearing without record is not possible. Accountability judge Tariq Abbasi in Rawalpindi resumed the hearing of the two corruption references against Interior Minister Rehman Malik.
Interior Minister appeared before the accountability court while the Defence Counsel Iqbal Qureshi filed an application in the court for exemption of the minister from appearing before the court during the hearing.
In his ruling the Accountability Judge on the acquittal petition from two corruption references said that all records of the court were in the Lahore High Court, the plea will be heard after the return of the case record. Interior Minister entered courtroom and returned through special passage due to security concerns and refused to talk with media men waiting outside the courtroom.
