The Lahore High Court (LHC) here Tuesday sought record from the Revenue Department and reply from Lahore Electricity Supply Company (Lesco) in a petition filed by Sharif family seeking removal of the illegal electricity polls being erected on their agriculture land in Chunia.
The petitioner Mian Furfan Idress, through his counsel pleaded that Muhammad Ali, a local landlord in connivance with the Lesco staff was using their land to make possible electricity connection at his adjacent land. Sharif family is the sole owner of the land and electricity polls are being installed without their permission, he maintained. He requested the court to direct the respondent Lesco staff not to install the electricity polls in their land without their permission.
