The Karachi Port handled 147,997 tonnes of cargo including 95,234 tonnes of import cargo; 52,763 tonnes of export cargo and 5,156 loaded and empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 95,234 tonnes comprised of 38,240 tonnes of containerised cargo; 265 tonnes of bulk cargo; 14,536 tonnes of canola; 1,017 tonnes of soyabean meal and 41,176 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 52,763 tonnes comprised of 36,986 tonnes of containerised cargo; 709 tonnes of bulk cargo; 8,665 tonnes of cement; 403 tonnes of rice and 6,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Pacific Opal, Green Point, Dawnlight, Sima Sahba, YM Saturn, Red Sea Spirit and Bunga Raya Sambilan sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Eight vessels viz Green Point, Hanjin Gdynia, Hyundai General, Tien Yen, Atlantic Hope, Caribbean Carrier-1, Kota Akbar and Bavaria Express are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Gulf Tiger, Kota Akbar, Aqua Star and Hanjin Gdynia expected to sail on Thursday, while two vessels viz Hyundai General and Bavaria Express expected to sail on Friday. Three vessels viz Quetta, Samin-1 and Siam Sapphire due to arrive on Thursday, while six ships namely Louise, Ginga Leopard, Alexandria Bridge, OOCL Dalian, Lucky Arrow and Christa Rickmers are due to arrive on Friday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 49,973 tonnes of cargo includes 36,325 tonnes of import cargo; 13,648 tonnes of export cargo and 1,883 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 36,325 tonnes includes 8,586 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,724 tonnes of palm oil; 7,800 tonnes of phosphoric acid; 160 tonnes of project cargo and 14,055 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 13,648 tonnes includes 1,414 tonnes of rice; 882 tonnes of cement and 11,352 tonnes of containerised cargo. Five ships namely MT Gas Chios, MT STX Eastern, MT Al-Soor-II, CV CMA CGM Coral and CV ACX Jasmine sailed out to sea during last 24 hours, while another vessels viz MT Golden Oceania is expected to sail on Thursday afternoon.
Eight vessels viz CV CMA CGM Coral, CV ACX Jasmine, MV Miltiades, MT Alexi-III, MV Panthera, MT Tirunmala, MT Golden Oceania and MT Al-Soor-II are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, project cargo, phosphoric acid, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. A total number of three ships namely Pago, Royal Jasper and Khorfakhan carrying containers, palm oil and furnace oil respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five vessels viz CV Pago, CV CMA CGM Eiffel, MT Khorfakhan, MT Royal Jasper and MV OXL Lotus carrying containers, furnace oil, palm oil and project cargo are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal (MW-1) respectively on Thursday.
Two ships namely CV Al-Abdali and MT Bunga Katan Dua with containers and palm oil due to arrive on Thursday, while three more container vessels viz Maersk Novazzano, MSC Jasmine and Saudi Diriyah are due to arrive on Friday. Eight vessels viz QIA Al-Fija'a, Nord Winter, Maersk Ohio, MSC Jade, Green Point, Sima Perdana, New Toyokaze and Tien Yen carrying containers, palm oil and rice are also due to arrive.
