Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Professor Dr Nazir A Mughal has underlined the importance of academic research and urged upon the teachers to take regular classes as it wold help improving the reputation of the university. He was talking to teachers at the Department of Political Science here on Tuesday.
Dr Mughal further said that the quality of education could be improved through a system. Therefore, a "Vice Chancellor's Executive Committee" has been formed recently. The committee would be empowered to work for the promotion of educational environment, promotion of peace, unity among students, faculty and employees and proper research at the university, he said.
"Teacher are very important part of the university for educating and training youth and added that students must end the tradition of boycott of the classes. Facilities would be provided to research scholars for their research work at the university, he said. Dr Rafia Ahmed Shaikh, Dr Iqbal Ahmed Panhwar, Chairman of the Department Professor Bashir Ahmed Shaikh and other faculty members were also present on the occasion.
