Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force has reiterated that the mass production of JF-17 Thunder is underway. The United States will deliver 14, F-16 aircrafts to Pakistan by the end of June," Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said while briefing the members of the Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production here on Thursday.
Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production visited Air Headquarters. The members were comprehensively briefed on all aspects of PAF including air power potential and its significance in the overall defence of Pakistan. The briefing was chaired by Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff and all Principal Staff Officers attended it.
Rao Qamar Suleman gave a detailed account of PAF's developmental plan. PAF's contribution in the on-going anti-terrorist operations in Swat and FATA was elaborately explained. He said that Pakistan Air Force will gradually replace all old aircrafts with modern fleet and induction of JF-17 will make the operational capabilities of the Air force more effective. The briefing was followed by an exhaustive question answer session.
