The Karachi Electric Supply Company held its third "Open Katchehry" in a row at Gulberg Town on Friday under its "Meet the Customer" initiative where the CEO Tabish Gauhar and other top leaders of the company directly issued orders on over 75 applications on the spot and heard the customers' views across the table.
The KESC Open Katchehry provided the individual customers an opportunity to present their complaints regarding new connections, local faults, billing issues and delayed action, in person to the CEO who examined the cases, listened to the customers' views and issued on-the-spot decisions. The first two sessions of a similar nature were held in Gulshan and Clifton where instructions were issued on the spot on a total of over 350 cases.
Gauhar, in his introductory address, said that the earlier, two Katchehries had proved highly successful in terms of bringing the consumers physically closer to the utility's leadership and to bridge the long-standing communication gap between the two sides.
He further said "Open Katchehry" plan was part of the KESC's successfully working campaign to improve its whole system. "Although we may not be able to individually meet all our 2.2 million valued customers, but we are working towards achieving the cherished goal of supplying non-stop electricity and a totally reliable billing and distribution system, so that no more complaints are left to be heard," he remarked. He assured the gathering, "we shall keep contacting our customers in open Katchehries till such time comes through continued hard work and devotion of all the KESC employees."-PR
