The driving school of the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is passing out the well-trained and well disciplined drivers who are not only imparted education about traffic rules, but their driving skills are also polished during the learning period of the course.
The drivers pass out from ITP's can help change the over all atmosphere of federal capital by sticking to traffic rules and driving in discipline, said ASP Mustansar Feeroz while addressing the passing out students of 53rd batch of ITP's driving school. He urged the passing out candidates to take care of other rights specially of pedestrian and avoid violation of traffic rules as well as using mobile phone during drive.
He was informed that as many as 7198 students, including 1660 females have passed out from the ITP driving school since its inception on January 28, 2006. Not only driving tips, but also the awareness about the motor engine is given to the students during this course.
He said that ITP driving school is a source of co-ordination between police and people." Public confidence on police has improved through this driving school, which is following the objective of friendly police ecology in this metropolitan," he maintained.
The ASP said that traffic accidents could be controlled by the responsible driving attitude and observance of traffic rules. Those passing out from this school would follow traffic rules and help traffic police in ensuring safe road environment in the city, he hoped.
He also emphasised to fasten seat belt during drive, saying such safety tips before coming on the roads ensure safety not only for the driver himself, but also for others. "Islamabad can be made an accident free city if every road user starts following the traffic rules and taking care of other rights," he added. He appreciated the performance of In-charge ITP's driving school Inspector Majid Iqbal and his team. Later, he distributed driving licenses and certificates among those who successfully conducted their driving course.
