Google reveals exceptional gadgets at its event
Attention all gadget lovers! Google launched during an event on Wednesday a range of new interesting products, along with two of its most anticipated phones - Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Apart from the two phones, the company has also launched other gadgets such as Google Home Product, a laptop-cum-tablet, a small lens for candid shots and Pixelbuds.
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
The two newly launched phones reportedly outweigh both Samsung’s and Apple’s new phones. The camera of these phones is the feature that makes them standout. Both contain Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM and latest version of Android Oreo.
Having an OLED display, both the phones have no headphone jack, which means it comes with wireless headphones, however, a dongle is still included. Both the phones contain dual front facing speakers and are Daydream VR ready. The phones have the ability of fast charging, being able to charge for up to 7 hours within 15 minutes and are waterproof. The users can also ‘squeeze’ the phone at certain pressure.
Talking about its remarkable camera, the phone’s camera is officially ranked as the best camera among smartphones. Pixel 2 has 12MP sensor with AI, AR and machine learning feature for enhancing pictures, reducing blur and enhanced low light situations. The video can also be made much smoother through Fused Video Stabilization. Through Motion Photo, the phone can make video for up to 3 minutes before the shot later turning it more exceptional.
Another prominent feature of the phone is that it does not require SIM cards, it supports eSIMS. The user can have a virtual SIM for the phone making it easier. However, there is still a SIM card slot in the phone.
Both the phones have extra ordinary features and are less expensive than the Apple’s iPhone X or iPhone 8. The 64GB version of Pixel 2 costs $649 and the Pixel 2 XL starts at $849.
Google Pixel Buds
Google’s wireless headphones are outstanding due to their ability to translate between 40 languages in real time. The wireless headphones are paired to the phone and by tapping the right earpiece, the user can command Google Assistant to play music, provide directions, place phone calls and a lot more.
If the users ask the Assistant to ‘Help me speak Japanese’, and start talking in English, the phone’s speakers will produce the translated words in the foreign language along with playing in the earbuds too.
Google Pixelbook
The Google Pixelbook is a laptop that can be turned into a tablet. The user can open it up as a laptop and the flip it over to make it a tablet. The screen can easily rotate 360 degrees and is just 1kg in weight. This also marks it as the first laptop to have Google Assistant and Google Play Store in it. Pixelbook has Intel i5 and i7, 10 hours battery, USB Type C charging, fast charging (2 hours in 15 minutes) and even Snapchat can work on it. It also has Pixelbook Pen which can be used to point and select.
Google Clip
Google Clip is the camera that automatically clicks photos. It uses machine learning technology to sense an interesting happening and record it. It can take images at still, videos or GIFs and transfer them through Wi-Fi.
Google Home Mini
The device is the size of a donut. It can set reminders, timers, check weather, and make conversions and can also serve as your personal DJ.
