Former President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Hamid Khan has said that the lawyers would not accept any curbs on the judiciary. He was speaking at a joint press conference organised here on Tuesday to announce the candidature of Mian Abdul Qudus for the slot of president Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA).
The LHCBA elections will be held on February 20. The whole community is united to ensure independence of judiciary, he said. Khan said the lawyers wanted to strengthen the judiciary and would save it from any conspiracy. Secretary Supreme Court Bar Association Raja Zulqarnain, former Presidents of LHCBA Pir Syed Kaleem Khurshid and Ahmad Awais also spoke on the occasion.
