Two police officials, including a SI and an ASI, were booked on the charge of negligence when a murder accused escaped from their custody here. District Jail Superintendent Habibullah said on Wednesday that accused Atta Muhammad charged with wife's murder was in custody of Shaidani Sharif police.
When the accused was boarding the prisoner's vehicle to be shifted to district jail after appearing in the court, he managed to slip away from the police custody. According to eyewitnesses, the accused was not properly handcuffed, said the district jail superintendent.
