South Africa's captain Graeme Smith will miss the one-day series against India due to a finger injury, an official said on Thursday. All-rounder Jacques Kallis will lead the tourists in the three-match series starting in Jaipur on Sunday, South African media manager Michael Owen-Smith told reporters. Smith suffered the injury before the ongoing second Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, but opted to play in the match.
Wicket-keeper Mark Boucher, who missed the Test due to back spasms, is expected to be fit for the opening one-dayer, Owen-Smith said. The one-dayers will be played in Jaipur (February 21), Gwalior (February 24) and Ahmedabad (February 27).
