KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) Friday sought reply from respondents in PIA chairman Musharaf Rasool appointment case for October 24.
A division bench comprising Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Adnan Karim Memon heard a petition field by Mohammed Ashraf against the appointment of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) chairman Musharaf Rasool.
The petitioner through his counsel informed the court that Musharaf Rasool is a MBBS Doctor and he does not belong to aviation industry and to be a head of the PIA it is necessary that the chairman should posses excel in the field of aviation.
He pleaded the court that a stay order be issued regarding the appointment of Musharaf until the decision is made to his petition.
Counsel of Musharaf pleading said that his client has taken the charge of the office with the approval of PIA"s Board of Directors.
Following that the court directed the respondents in the case to submit their replies to this effect till October 24.
