Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday had claimed that the knife attacker in Karachi has been identified as the same knife attacker who had strike with familiar attacks in Punjab’s Chichawatni area.

Same attacks had happened in Punjab in 2013 in Chichawatni said CM Murad Ali Shah.  He further added that the attacks had gone on for three years which had injured 50 women, reported Daily Times. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has protested the series of similar attacks against women and girls with party members protesting in the National Assembly by walking out of the hall.

At least 11 women have fall prey to the serial knifeman’s attacks mostly happening in Gulistan-e-Jauhar spreading to Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Dalmia and other localities. So far the real culprit has evaded all attempts made by the police to capture him. However similarities have been noticed in these incidences; the attacker rides a red motorcycle wearing a helmet and attacks with his left hand using a sharp object.

These attacks started when a man on a bike began intermittently attacking woman walking on streets.  The footages that were caught on CCTV shows a biker wearing a helmet and attacking innocent women. Police have gauged the appearance of the suspect at 20 to 29 years of age and height ranging from 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inch.

Government announced a prize money of 0.5 million to anyone who would provide the law enforcement regarding any information pertaining to the identity of the attacker.
