Former Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz on Monday said the leadership of all the mainstream political parties in the country was on board with the government on the issues of terrorism and extremism. Talking to a private television channel Sartaj said Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilini had called a meeting of the leadership of all the political parties wherein they endorsed the government's stance.
The statement of Indian Foreign Minister in Saudi Arabia asking the Saudi leadership to play its role for creating political consensus in Pakistan on the issue of terrorism bears no significance, Sartaj said. To a question the former Foreign Minister said that Pakistan would have no objection over the mediatory role of Saudi Arabia in Pakistan-India disputes adding but the Indian had always been denying the inclusion of a third party in the process.
