National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) N-5, Central, has arrested six members of dacoit gang, including cattle thieves near Kasowal, Lodhran, Khanpur and Mian Chanu on national highways respectively.
In detail, NH&MP patrolling officers Noor Ahmed & Muhammed Asgher while on routine patrolling duty near Kasowal got information from local police that two members of cattle theft gang after stealing cattle from Sahiwal fled towards national highways in Shahzor Dalla.
After receiving information NH&MP patrolling officers spotted a Shahzor Dalla S-B 1013 and tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver ignored the stop sign and accelerated the NH&MP officers chased suspects and successfully managed to arrested two dacoits including ringleader namely Mansha and Iftikhar r/o Vehari and recovered valuable cattle.
On the instructions of sector commander arrested criminals handed over to local police for further investigation. Meanwhile, in a separate event NH&MP Patrolling Officers Sajjad Salim and Arshad Nawaz were on routine patrolling duty near Lodhran when a road user informed them about two suspicious armed men on a locality adjacent to national highways.
The officers rushed to the scene and arrested two dacoits namely Muhammed Rafiq and Rana Asgher r/o Lodhran along with illegal weapons. The arrested dacoits handed over to local police for further investigations. In a 3rd event NH&MP admin officer Hafiz Saeed Farooq on routine patrolling duty near Mian Channu captured two thieves namely Nisar and Adil r/o Khanewal recovered water pumps with Motorcycle and handed over to local police for further investigation.
In another event Chief Patrolling Officer (CPO) Alam Sher Watoo near Khan Pur on national highway foiled an attempt of highway robbery after heavy exchange of firing. Dr Wasim Kauser IG NH&MP appreciated the patrolling officers In view of excellent performance and setting the example of professionalism.
